Cindy is the founder and co-owner of Roots Yoga and Riverhouse Retreats. She is an E-RYT 200, and a lifelong student of yoga. Her formal training began with Baron Baptiste, and Mid-West Power Yoga, and continued evolving during her time spent as a conference staff member with Yoga Journal. During her time with YJ, she was able to practice and learn from some of the best and brightest yoga teachers from around the world. That experience and continued studies, she is currently enrolled in the Kripalu Yoga School Advanced Teacher program, keeps her yoga flame ignited, her teaching fresh and her classes a unique blend of flavors.
Off the mat, Cindy enjoys hiking, kayaking, biking- and her dog, Willy!

Jamie is an E-RYT 200 and has been practicing yoga since Cindy introduced her to yoga 18 years ago. Her background, personal practice and first formal training (TAP 2010) has been deeply rooted in vinyasa yoga but she is drawn to all types of yoga and is always up for a fun challenge. This is the philosophy she weaves into her classes - she challenges you but also encourages you to practice yoga (and life) joyfully!
A wife and mother of two, she firmly believes in the power of yoga to facilitate change - and not just on a physical level. Yoga can change you physically, emotionally and spiritually… If you let it. She was inspired to leave her corporate marketing and administrative job and take her yoga to the next level by transitioning from student to teacher. She completed 200 hours of teachers training with Cindy specializing in vinyasa and Hot Yoga in 2013 and has taught thousands of hours of yoga since and she's excited to share her yoga experience with you both on and off the mat.
Besides yoga, Jamie loves hanging with her husband, chasing around her two kids, and cooking and eating delicious food!
